LWCC Student Employment
The Ledonia Wright Cultural Center offers a variety of student employment positions within our office. These positions include paid-hourly employees, internships and graduate assistants.
Paid Hourly Student Workers
Student Assistants
Students will help with the general up keeping of the office to ensure it’s neat and ready for meetings/events. Students must demonstrate a commitment to working with diverse groups of people to help create an environment of inclusion (especially in regard to race, sex, gender, age, religious/spiritual beliefs, sexual orientation, etc.). Students will represent the Ledonia Wright Cultural Center at various tabling events and share information on the programs and services for students. Students will maintain a professional demeanor and help to maintain the office.

Internships
Art Gallery Intern
The Art Gallery Intern with planning and research for special exhibitions and installations. They will also assist with organization of photo opportunities and events. The intern will also work to find, and curate appropriate artists and exhibits assist with planning and executing special events, if needed. The intern will also have the opportunity to develop skills around the preparation of gallery space & Installation of artwork. Interns are encouraged to help with Installations, Gallery Receptions, and Special Events during the course of their internship. It is LWCC’s goal to support student success and we hope it is a beneficial relationship for both parties.
Social Media/Marketing Intern
The Intern assists LWCC for public relations and marketing, helping to expand student reach and increase visibility. The public relations/marketing intern will work directly the Associate Director of the LWCC. The Social median intern will have the opportunity to assist with media relations, including pitching, researching and scheduling social media posts. They will also have the opportunity to assist with planning and executing special events. They will assist with direct mail and marketing efforts for LWCC and its programs. It is LWCC’s goal to support student success and we hope it is a beneficial relationship for both parties.
Graduate Assistant
Graduate Assistantships are on-campus positions designed to supplement your classroom experience with practical experience. The graduate assistantship application process and the academic admissions process are separate but concurrent processes.
